Representatives of the South Carolina Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church will be on the Wilmore campus, March 27, to visit with their conference students and recruit any other students who are looking for a place to serve. The South Carolina Annual Conference is unique in United Methodism, with a marvelous history comprised of one predominantly African-American conference formed in 1866 and one predominantly Anglo conference formed in 1785. The two united in 1972 and continue today as witness to God’s love for all persons, celebrating their distinctiveness with a commitment to unity in Christ.
