The Department of Inductive Biblical Studies would like to alert all M.Div. or M.A. in Biblical Studies students to the Robert A. Traina Inductive Bible Study scholarships awarded at the end of every spring semester. In order to prepare all interested students, please carefully note the following eligibility criteria:
- The student is contemplating making major use of Inductive Bible Study in a ministerial vocation.
- The student has already completed the two required Inductive Bible Study courses (or is currently enrolled in the second course in the spring semester) and plans, quite apart from any possible Inductive Bible Study scholarship assistance, to take a minimum of two additional IBS courses excluding independent studies.
- The student is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree or a Master of Arts Biblical Studies, and is enrolled for a minimum of nine credit hours per semester.
- The student has cumulative grade point average of at least 3.3, and has demonstrated special aptitude in Inductive Bible Study courses.
- An IBS scholarship shall cover full tuition for the specific courses for which an IBS scholarship is awarded.
- Scholarship applications are attached. The Inductive Bible Study scholarship application deadline for the academic year 2018-2019 is Monday, April 16, 2018.
- Interested candidates may also obtain an application form from the Office of Financial Aid, Mr. Michael Kuney (faculty secretary for the School of Biblical Interpretation, M205A), or the Inductive Biblical Studies faculty members. Dr. Bauer (M203) and Dr. Matlock (BC317)are located on the Wilmore campus. Dr. Miller (211) and Dr. Russell (204) are located on the Orlando campus.
