Job Description:
The present Global War on Terrorism will probably go on for some time and comes at a great cost. Our men and women of our uniformed services place their lives on the line daily in response to this ongoing conflict. They need a chaplain to serve alongside them at sea, while forward deployed, or while performing a search and rescue mission. Every uniformed service member has the need to discover the deeper things of God and their purpose for life and work. Amidst the thundering launch of strike aircraft off the rolling deck of an aircraft carrier, to the terrifying clamor of vicious firefight, to the intentional care provided by medical centers, to the family members left behind, our service members and their families look to their chaplains for provision of authentic faith and hope. What an experience! What an opportunity!
Qualifications for both Full-time Active Duty and Part-time Reserve Chaplains:
• Maximum age: 47
• Education: the equivalent of a 72 semester hour Masters of Divinity (must be 2/3 in residence)
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of religious leadership experience
• Physical: Meet US Navy Height and Weight requirements and physical fitness standards.
