The Research Grant exploring Faith, Work and Economics is designed to explore relevant topics at the intersection of faith in the marketplace. In particular, grants have been issued to explore topics of social entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial church planting, corruption, business as mission, etc. In addition, research grants have also been issued to explore biblical topics such as wealth, poverty, etc. The results of the research are either presented at an academic conference or submitted for publication in an academic journal.
Research topics explore:
- Theology of work/vocation
- Biblical views on wealth, poverty, and the church
- Social Entrepreneurship
- Business ethics
The Office of Faith, Work, and Economics (OFWE) is calling for research proposals from Asbury Seminary faculty and students. The OFWE awards $2,500 each to first time recipients and $4,000 to second time recipients. Visit the OFWE website or email ofwe@asburyseminary.edu for more information.
