Kingdom Networking class offered Spring 2020 –
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1) Biblical Framework: Articulate a biblical and theological framework for relationship management and talent stewardship,
2) Internal/Contextual Application focusing on Giftings and Ministry Setting: Create a strategy for stewarding talent in non-profit organizations.
3) External: Lifestyle Reflexive Leadership Opportunities: Map pathways for extending spheres of influence beyond their organizations.
Kingdom Networking” recognizes the need for all missional leaders to refine their abilities for Kingdom relationship management. In today’s specialist ministry environment many would tritely say to an organizational, missional, or church leader that they need to find a “networker” or “connector” and delegate/outsource the relationship-building role. This course takes the perspective that leaders need to be equipped through both principled and practical approaches to proactively gain, train and retain relational capital for nonprofits.
Through “Networking” skills and strategies, missional leaders can positively impact their organization’s fundraising and advancement, marketing and communication, community building and social impact. This course reveals, discusses and engages the “Whys” and “Hows” from a biblical perspective and within the Wesleyan tradition. It prepares missional leaders to select, equip, empower, deploy, direct and encourage Christ-followers to positively impact specific missional priorities while giving their team effective and relational “super-vision.”
