The Center for Pastor Theologians is an organization that was established to encourage and enhance the ministry of those who sense that their vocation is to be a “pastoral theologian.”
This national organization has asked Asbury Theological Seminary to establish a student group for those who believe they may be called to, or find themselves in, such a role. The group will meet three times during the academic year over a meal (provided by CPT) to discuss the topics of “The Pastor Theologian and Theological Leadership in the Church” and “Virtue Formation and Forgiveness.” For those who join the group there is no obligation or expense, just fellowship, stimulating discussion, and free food!
We will meet on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 in M202, with our first meeting on November 6. We will meet twice during the spring semester (dates TBA). The group is open to all students (M.A., M.Div., Th.M., Ph.D.). Further announcements will be forthcoming. For more information, contact Dr. David Bauer, the faculty sponsor.
