The week of May 19th – 23rd, the Wimore Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. This is necessary to scour and clean the water lines.
It is possible that your water pressure may be reduced and your water discolored when we are flushing in your area. Full pressure will be restored when we finish flushing.
Discoloration is due to “stirred up” water from the water mains in the street entering the smaller water lines which service your property. If you will turn an inside faucet wide open for a few minutes, the water should clear up. It is also a good idea to make sure the water is clear before washing any laundry that week.
